Earlier this month Line of Sight’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Jaques, traveled to Dubrovnik, Croatia and spoke at the International Project Management Association’s 27th World Congress.
The International Project Management Association (IPMA) is a federation of many worldwide member associations that works to develop the profession of project management and skills of project managers. The annual IPMA World Congress is the leading world conference of project management, bringing together professionals from different regions and with many unique experiences and occupations. The three-day conference featured presentations, sessions and workshops about various practices in project management.
Jaques spoke to about one hundred conference attendees on how to manage through projects and change. The presentation focused on integrating projects and change to keep initiatives from falling short of expectations and focused on four rules for surviving change. Jaques talked from his extensive background of managing projects and teams, giving sound advice such as “manage resistance like risk” and “reassess the communication plan periodically.”
